When deciding what to pack for our travels, there are three key elements we look for in footwear: comfort, quality, and versatility. Since we had such a great experience wearing our Nisolo sandals in Paris, we wanted to give their boots a try for our trip to Japan.

Finding a pair of comfortable leather boots can be challenging but luckily the Amalia boots are cushy from the get-go with no breaking in period. It is ultra-cushioned and has shock-absorbing insoles; therefore, keeping your feet comfy for hours.

The soles have been custom designed with a lightweight studded rubber which provides extra grip when needed. Having this durable grip gives you peace of mind, especially on unexpectedly slippery surfaces.

One thing that is unique to Nisolo’s footwear is its custom memory foam insoles. It is lightweight, removable, and breathable. The foam molds to the shape of your foot much like the cushioning found in high-end mattresses.

Quality

There was no detail left behind when Nisolo designed these boots. They are water-resistant and the added gusseted tongue is a huge plus. Having a gusseted tongue prevents any type of debris from slipping through the laces, which is typically common in hiking or work boots.

The Chelsea Boot is a classic that dates all the way back to 1837 when Queen Victoria requested to have a pair of boots made without laces. The Carmen Chelsea Boots have a soft leather-lined interior and ribbed elastic side panels that add an elevated layer of comfort.

I can wear these all day and what I love most about them is the ease of putting them on. The durable pull tab gives them easy on-and-off support and the stretch elastic gives me some wiggle room.

Similar to the Amalia Boots, the Carmen Chelsea Boots are ultra-cushioned, shock-absorbing, and equipped with custom insoles.

Quality

The quality of the leather is beautiful, but another detail that caught my eye was the visible stitching. When a thread is stitched onto the boots it’s a sign of great quality.

Most lower-end footwear use glued soles which are less expensive and also create a poorer seal. That obviously leads to the product having a shorter lifespan.

Versatility

The Carmen Chelsea Boots have a casual look to them, but the high quality of the leather gives them an elegant look as well. These boots can easily be paired with a mini skirt or a collared shirt.

Regardless of the weather, walking distance, or occasion, the Carmen Chelsea Boots are an everyday closet staple.
