A complete review of my stay at the Four Points by Sheraton at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. It’s pet-friendly!

Tombstone Miners Cabin is a newly constructed pet-friendly hotel that is located on historic Allen Street. All the cabins have a private deck that overlooks the beautiful desert landscape. 

We spent an entire day at the Petrified Forest National Park and started exploring from the South Gate and made several stops along the way towards the opposite end of the park at the North Gate. Here is our one-day itinerary.

I wish all hotels were like Hotel McCoy in Tucson, Arizona. They are affordable, dog friendly, have friendly service, cute rooms and an all around great vibe. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Tucson, this hotel is it!

I love staying at Kimpton hotels because they are so beautifully decorated and the staff is always very professional and friendly. The biggest bonus with Kimpton hotels is that they charge NO PET FEE. I was passing through Phoenix and saw that Kimpton had a hotel downtown, so it was the perfect place for me and Kuma to stay for the night.

We never heard of the Apache Trail until we started searching for dog-friendly things to do in the greater Phoenix area of Arizona. The Apache Trail was named after the Apache Indians who originally used this trail to move through the Superstition Mountains. We stopped by some fun locations on the trail with our pups.

Our stay at Sky Ranch Lodge in Sedona, Arizona was an unexpected surprise. We stayed here for one night as we made our way across the country from Los Angeles to Florida. Had we known what a gem this place was, we would have booked another night.

When we booked our stay at the Grand Canyon Yavapai Lodge, we were a bit nervous since it was a last-minute decision. When we walked into our room, we were thoroughly impressed by their newly-remodeled dog-friendly accommodation.

I was making a quick stop in Tucson while I was on a cross-country road trip with my dog, Kuma, in early June. Since I was in the area, I wondered if I could take Kuma with me to Saguaro National Park. To my delight, they indeed had some pet-friendly places you could take your dog to within the park.

We visited Grand Canyon National Park for 36 hours and enjoyed the amazing views of the canyons. This national park is also pet friendly, so we took Kuma with us too and walked along the South Rim Trail so she could enjoy the views with us. Take a ride along with us on Desert View Drive to see all the grand views the Grand Canyon offers.

On my cross-country road trip with my dog, Kuma, I was making a stop in Tucson and needed a location close to Saguro National Park. DoubleTree Suites Tucson was the perfect place located near the west and east side of the park. It’s also located right next to the airport.
