I have taken multiple solo cross-country road trips from Florida to California and I usually break up the journey into 5 days. This time, I wanted to challenge myself and make the journey in 4 days. 

Florida rains often, so it's always a good idea to have a Plan B. Luckily, there are lots of things to do indoors. Here are our top suggestions for making your rainy day in Tampa Bay just as fun as those sunny days.

St. Petersburg, Florida has become quite the hot spot in Central Florida. It has been booming with trendy restaurants, bars, stores, museums, and now has the newly renovated pier. We have been wanting to take some time to explore St. Petersburg and found the perfect opportunity with a girls weekend getaway.

I did an 8-day cross-country road trip with my corgi, Kuma, from California to Florida in January and had an absolute blast exploring more of America including Las Cruces, Roswell, and New Orleans.

Tampa, Florida is full of great things to do and although it’s not as big as Orlando or Miami, you can still have tons of fun in this beautiful city. Discover some fun things you can do while you’re visiting Tampa.

I feel so lucky to be living in Tampa, Florida with all the dog-friendly locations in this city. Kuma, my sassy corgi, is my best friend and I like to take her everywhere with me if I can. Thankfully, Tampa has numerous dog-friendly spots and these are my favorite places I like to take her with me.

All of Anatomie’s travel clothes are wrinkle-free, lightweight, and quick-dry with outstanding stretch, so it’s our go-to attire for travel. The founders, Shawn and Kate Boyer, invited us to their headquarters in Miami and we were thrilled to see what they had in store for us.

In early June, I decided to go on a solo cross-country road trip from Florida to California with my dog, Kuma. Driving from Tampa to Los Angeles is a total of 2,533 miles and would take 37 hours to drive. Since I was traveling solo on a long road trip with a dog, I had to do some careful and detailed planning with this road trip itinerary.

I’ve been to the Florida Aquarium a few times before but I never really appreciated it until this year. I recently found out that the Florida Aquarium offered a penguin encounter tour and I knew I had to go back to experience this when Candy was back in town visiting.

My friend recently moved to Tarpon Springs, Florida and invited me over for brunch followed by the Epiphany celebration. It is held on January 6th every year and is highlighted by local teenage boys diving into Spring Bayou to retrieve a cross thrown into the water by an archbishop. Sounded like an interesting event, so I drove to Tarpon Springs from Tampa to see what it was all about!

Usually, Orlando and Miami are the destinations that get all the hype in Florida but we wanted to go somewhere different and decided to make a weekend road trip to Fort Lauderdale. We only had 36 hours, so we spent one day at Las Olas Boulevard and the second day at Fort Lauderdale Beach.
