Hi! We’re Candy and Crystal. We’re sisters who grew up as military brats and spent the first half of our lives in Japan. The majority of our family resides in Japan, but we ventured out and have spent the second half of our lives mainly in the United States. We both love traveling and have always documented our travels, so we decided it was time to share our travel experiences with the rest of the world.
We know planning and finding unique travel spots can be challenging. We’re here to help guide you on your next trip and share our itineraries and experiences. We love to find hidden gems and want our readers in on all the secrets so they can enjoy them too. We also take professional photos and video to inspire your next adventure. Plus, we love to share some fashion tips for our travel fashionistas!
One of our favorite places to visit is our hometown Japan, so we have a ton of useful information for first time travelers to Japan. We also traveled around the entire country of Iceland and share some useful tips on how to see the Northern Lights and more. Want some travel fashion tips? We’ve got that too!
Ever since I took a Video Arts class in high school, I knew I wanted to become a video editor. I'm very passionate about documenting my travels and inspiring others to take their own adventure and discover new cultures.
I'm also passionate about my dog, Kuma the corgi. She is the smartest dog I have ever owned and I swear she is half human. She's my little baby and best friend. I wish I can take her on trips with me everywhere I go but I'm limited to road trips with her. That's why I try to find the best pet-friendly destinations.
Here is a quick way to get to know me :
Q1 : What are some of your favorite travel destinations? U.S.: Montana. Worldwide: Iceland, Bali and Japan.
Q2 : What are some of your current fashion obsessions? My bomber jacket from California Moonrise. It's so comfy and stylish!
Q3 : Who was your first crush? Christian Slater. Gleaming the Cube was totally rad.
Q4 : Favorite Netflix shows? Glow, Narcos, Terrace House
Q5 : What’s something a lot of people don’t know about you? I can sign language the alphabet.
Q6: If you could be a cartoon character for a week, who would you be? I would want to be Gokou from Dragon Ball Z. He can fly, throw crazy fire balls and basically kick anyone's butt. Plus, he has a cute tail and it would be kind of fun to see what it's like to have a tail.
Q7: If you could time travel, where would you go (and why)? I would travel back to 1940s and 50s. I'm just intrigued with that era and I love all the fashion from that time.
Growing up, I didn't have the opportunity to travel much outside of Japan, so shortly after graduating college I began traveling. My work has provided me the opportunity to live in places like Norway, Singapore, Hong Kong, and now Los Angeles. Each city I’ve lived in, thus far, is so unique that I honestly couldn't pick a favorite. One thing I really enjoyed observing in each city was its unique style of fashion. I had to wear a uniform in both middle and high school, so I think that has a little bit to do with why. I was so tired of wearing the same outfit for six years!

I also have fully embraced Athleisure styles and I'm so happy to see brands integrating casual cool wear into their collections. We don't need heels to be fashionable :)
