Circa Suite Las Vegas Review: Was It Worth the Upgrade?

The first thing I said when I walked into our Circa Suite was, “It’s freaking amazing.”
And honestly, it was.
I had just turned 50, we were celebrating in Las Vegas with my sister and friends, and this was one of those trips where I felt like I had permission to go a little bigger than usual. So instead of booking a standard room at Circa Resort & Casino, my boyfriend, Tyrone, and I were staying in a suite.
My first impression was pretty much exactly what you would hope for when you splurge on a hotel room.
There was a separate living room, dining area, wet bar, huge windows and a bedroom that could be completely closed off from the rest of the suite. Even the couch concealed a second king-size bed. I remember looking around and thinking how much fun it was going to be having everyone up here before we went out.
There was just one problem.
Nobody ever came up.
And by the end of our three-night stay, that completely changed the way I felt about booking a suite in Las Vegas.
Why We Came Back to Circa
This actually wasn’t my first stay at Circa. On a previous trip to Las Vegas, Tyrone surprised me by booking a Corner Studio at Circa overlooking Stadium Swim. He even had rose petals leading to the bed with a heart made out of roses, so that stay already gave me some pretty special memories of this hotel.
I loved the Corner Studio, especially the floor-to-ceiling windows, spacious bathroom and comfortable king bed. We also really enjoyed Circa itself, so when it came time to celebrate my 50th birthday in Las Vegas, I already knew this was a hotel I’d be happy to return to.
This time, though, I wanted to go bigger.
Since my sister and friends were joining us for the birthday trip, the Circa Suite sounded perfect. In my head, everyone would come over before we went out, we’d have drinks at the bar, hang out in the living room and actually make use of all that extra space.
At least, that was the plan.
Inside Our Circa Suite
Our Circa Suite was 867 square feet, which felt huge for two people. It had a completely separate bedroom along with a living area, dining table and wet bar. There was also a clever hidden wall bed in the living area that could be pulled down when extra sleeping space was needed.
The living room had that glamorous Circa look I already loved from our Corner Studio stay, with deep blues, gold accents and huge windows. This time, instead of overlooking Stadium Swim, our view looked toward the mountains in the distance, and I ended up loving the change of scenery. It was peaceful waking up to those wide-open views every morning.
The funny part is that the feature I was most excited about was the part we used the least.
I pictured my sister and friends coming over, making drinks at the wet bar, sitting around the table and hanging out in the lounge before heading downstairs.
In reality, everyone had their clothes, makeup and everything else in their own room. Nobody wanted to haul their stuff up to ours just to get ready. And because we had packed so much into our Vegas itinerary, we were barely in the room anyway.
The dining table became a place to put my things.
The lounge went completely unused.
As for the wet bar?
We put water in the refrigerator.
That was about it.
So much for the glamorous pre-party I had imagined.
The Bedroom Was Another Story
If the living room was wasted on us, the bedroom definitely wasn't.
The king bed was extremely comfortable, and I slept well all three nights. There was plenty of room for our luggage, lots of outlets and easy controls for the lights and window coverings.
Circa also puts an Alexa near the bed that is designed to work as an in-room concierge. I tried using it to contact the front desk and couldn't get it to work. I had the same problem on my previous stay, so I eventually gave up and used the phone.
Maybe Alexa and I just don't understand each other.
The suite also had robes, a safe, luggage rack and clothing steamer. We barely touched any of those either, which was becoming a theme of this stay.
That Bathroom, Though
The bathroom might have been my favorite part of the suite.
It was spacious, with a large walk-in shower, separate toilet area and a double vanity with a dedicated seating area in the middle. If you're getting ready with someone else, having that much counter space is wonderful.
Housekeeping came every day during our stay and replenished our towels and toiletries. Circa currently lists daily cleaning as part of its hotel service, so that wasn't just something we happened to receive.
We did have one frustrating problem on our first morning.
The shower wouldn't get hot.
I kept moving the control toward hot, but the water would go from lukewarm to cold and back again. At first I thought I was doing something wrong. Then Tyrone tried it and had exactly the same problem.
When you're staying in a suite and can't take a hot shower, it's irritating.
I called the front desk and they put in a maintenance ticket. Thankfully, by the time we returned from the pool, it had been fixed. I appreciated that they took care of it quickly, and we didn't have another problem with it.
Circa Suite vs. Corner Studio: Which Would I Book Again?
After staying in both the Circa Suite and the Corner Studio, I actually think the Corner Studio is a better fit for the way we travel in Las Vegas.
The Circa Suite was definitely the more impressive room. I loved having a separate bedroom, the huge bathroom and all that extra space. For a special occasion like my 50th birthday, I’m glad we splurged and got to experience it.
But did we need all that space?
Not really.
When Tyrone booked the Corner Studio for me on our previous stay, it still felt spacious and special without having an entire living and dining area that we barely used. And because we tend to leave our room in the morning and spend most of the day exploring, eating, drinking and enjoying Vegas, that smaller layout makes more sense for us.
By the time we return to the hotel at night, we’re usually exhausted. A beautiful living room isn’t particularly useful when you’re too tired to sit in it.
If I were traveling with friends and knew we were actually going to gather in the suite for drinks or spend more downtime together in the room, I could absolutely see myself choosing the Circa Suite again. But for a typical Vegas trip with just Tyrone and me, I’d save the money and happily book the Corner Studio.
One Reason I Keep Coming Back to Circa: Stadium Swim
Our suite might have been underused, but we definitely used the rest of the resort.
We spent a day at Stadium Swim with our group of five and had no trouble finding space together. The complex has six pools spread across three levels facing its enormous 143-foot screen.
The water temperature was perfect for standing around and talking, which was basically what we wanted to do.
My only complaint this time was the music volume. I like the music and the lively atmosphere, but it was so loud around the lounge chairs that we struggled to hear each other. Once we were in the pool and closer together, conversation was much easier.
The Rest of Our Circa Stay
We also finally spent some time at Vegas Vickie's, the lounge near the lobby. Somehow I hadn't really experienced it during my previous stay, and this time it became one of our favorite places to relax at night.
We gambled together on our final evening, which was especially fun because my sister had never gambled in Vegas before. We practically had the roulette table to ourselves, and the dealer was incredibly nice about showing her what to do.
We also visited Legacy Club during our birthday celebration, which felt especially appropriate for a milestone trip. And, of course, one of my favorite things about staying at Circa is being able to walk outside and immediately be in the middle of the Fremont Street craziness.
That's really where Circa works for me.
It feels modern and upscale without separating you from Downtown Las Vegas. You're staying right in the middle of the action.
One thing travelers should know is that Circa is a 21+ property, including the hotel, restaurants, bars and casino. Everyone entering needs to be at least 21 and have valid identification.
So, Was the Circa Suite Worth It?
This is where my answer gets complicated.
For my 50th birthday? Yes.
I'm glad I experienced it. Walking into that enormous suite at the beginning of a milestone birthday trip felt special. The room was beautiful, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was fantastic, and having all that space certainly wasn't a hardship.
But would I personally pay extra for the Circa Suite on my next visit?
Probably not.
The suite makes much more sense if you actually plan to use the living space. If you're traveling with friends who will come over for drinks, you're entertaining, or you simply enjoy spending downtime in your hotel room, I can see the appeal.
For us, though, Vegas kept winning the competition for our attention.
We had this gorgeous living room waiting upstairs while we were at Stadium Swim, drinking downstairs, meeting friends, gambling, visiting Legacy Club and wandering Fremont Street.
By the end of the trip, I realized something pretty simple:
I don't need an enormous hotel room in a city where I barely stay in my hotel room.
Next time, I'd happily return to Circa. I'd just save some money and book a smaller room, possibly another Corner Studio.
Sometimes the upgrade really is worth it.
And sometimes you just end up with a very fancy refrigerator full of water.

It depends on how you'll use it. I loved the room, but for us, the extra living space went almost completely unused. I'd pay for it again for a special occasion or if I planned to entertain in the suite. For a typical Vegas trip, I'd personally choose a smaller room.

Circa is very strict about its 21+ policy. When you book a room, the hotel makes it clear that Circa is an adults-only resort, and during our stays, we saw staff stationed at the entrances checking IDs.

I splurged on a Circa Suite for my 50th birthday in Las Vegas and thought we'd spend our nights entertaining friends in our huge living room. Reality turned out very differently. Here's what I loved about the suite, what we barely used, and whether I'd pay for the upgrade again.
