We enjoy visiting unique museums so when we started researching the attractions around Fort Lauderdale, we came across the Stranahan Museum. We had no idea who the Stranahans were but we love learning about the history of the cities we visit. Even better was that our hotel was right next to the museum.
We recently spent the weekend in Vancouver Canada and put together the perfect two-day itinerary of our favorite things to see and do here.
The Vancouver Police Museum was a fun stop for us located near Chinatown. The building used to be a functioning autopsy facility! We learned about the Vancouver police force, crime stories, confiscated weapons and more!
If you want to explore some nature in Vancouver that is easy to access, we highly recommend the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. We were pretty excited to explore this park and had our fingers crossed that it didn't rain the entire weekend we were in Vancouver.
We tried out a lot of restaurants while visiting Vancouver and one of our favorite places was Chambar, located just behind the Airbnb we were staying at in downtown Vancouver. We were in a mood for some good brunch and read rave reviews on how awesome this restaurant was, so we had to see for ourselves.
Most of our Airbnb stays have been pretty average in size, so the penthouse in Vancouver was our first experience with an amazing rooftop view and extra amenities. Since we were traveling with several friends on this trip, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to book something a little more luxurious since we would all be splitting the cost.
It's hard to fit all of my favorite places into a single weekend, but I was able to put together an itinerary that gives you a little taste of "America's Finest City".
We get asked quite often for food recommendations in Japan and it's so hard for us to pick a favorite as everything in Japan is so delicious. We decided to put together a list of dishes that we always have to eat when we go home to Japan.
Packing can be a stressful task and it can especially get a little overwhelming. One of the first things we do is print out a packing list and then we also ask ourselves these 5 questions...
Last year we finally got together with our closest girlfriends and made an extended weekend trip to Las Vegas, Zion National Park, Lower Antelope Canyon, and Horseshoe Bend.
If you are looking for a community that is crafted with heart you need to visit South Park. South Park tends to get overlooked by tourists as it's quite the hidden gem.
It's a good idea to calculate how much cash you will need for Cuba if you are American. American credit cards do not work in Cuba, so be prepared to pay everything with cash. We spent 48 hours in Cuba and this is a breakdown of how much the trip cost us.
I used to dread flying to Japan to see my family because that meant being stuck on a plane for at least 14 hours. Now, I don’t mind it so much. These are the steps I take and things I bring with me to survive a long international flight.
We are obsessed with ramen and have been eating ramen since we were kids. We've been noticing the ramen boom in the US and have been impressed with Ichicoro and Dosunco in Florida, along with Tajima and Jinya Ramen Bar in California. Now it was time to taste the real deal at Tokyo Ramen Street where 8 of the best ramen shops are under one roof at Tokyo station.
Odaiba is a man-made island in Tokyo and is a very popular tourist attraction and popular date spot. The island is super clean and during the planning of this city, it was built to give it a futuristic vibe. Here are our suggestions on the top 5 things to do in Odaiba.
We love wearing yukatas whenever we're in Japan, but since we don't actually own one, we thought it would be fun to visit Oedo Onsen Monogatari to borrow one of their cute yukatas and walk around their park. This place is a one-of-a-kind theme park where you can experience the Japanese hot springs, foot baths, street food, carnival games and more.
We think it's always a good time to start planning your next vacation and if you need a little inspiration, we've rounded up an awesome list to get you started.
Did you know that Cup Noodle was invented in 1958 and Momofuku Ando is the inventor of instant noodles, instant ramen, and Cup Noodle? We didn't know this until we visited the awesome Cup Noodle Museum in Yokohama, Japan.
I booked my recent flight to Japan with JAL and sat in the Premium Economy Class for the first time. The seats were spacious and comfy, but the in-flight meal is what really blew me away.

If you’re in Phuket and don’t have time to visit Phi Phi islands, Kata Beach is a nice alternative. My friends and I were staying at the Amari Phuket hotel and didn’t make it in time to visit Phi Phi Islands on our first day, so the travel agent at the hotel suggested visiting the nearby Kuta Beach.
I love living in San Diego and there are plenty of things to do here, but sometimes I have the urge to get out and explore other areas. I feel lucky that Southern California has so many amazing places to venture out to for a day of fun.
If you live in the Orlando and Tampa area, chances are you have driven past Dinosaur World numerous times on Interstate 4 but have you actually stopped by? Many people have not although I hear from everyone that they do want to stop by one day because the idea of dinosaur structures in a park is intriguing.
I was surprised with how much Ubud had to offer in such a small town. I didn't realize that there was a myriad of things to do including waterfalls, monkey forests, and hiking.
My friend, Mariko, was coming to visit me from Canada and since she's a huge Harry Potter fan, I thought it was the perfect time to visit Universal Orlando Resort. I've been wanting to ride the Hogwarts Express ever since it opened a few years ago and I'm not even a Harry Potter fanatic. I've been on the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride before and was super impressed with how innovative it was, so I was excited to see what they created with the newest Harry Potter additions.
We recently visited Universal Resort Orlando, Florida and stayed at Loews Royal Pacific Resort. We couldn’t have made a better decision to stay at this hotel as it was walking distance to the parks, service was superb, rooms were spacious, amenities were amazing and on top of all that, we got awesome perks to the amusement parks.
La Jolla is a photographer's dream and we can understand why. No matter where you go every location is absolutely picture perfect. We did a ton of walking around Coast Boulevard on our recent trip to La Jolla and we captured a lot of fun and memorable photos.
I will admit that I used to never purchase traveler's insurance. It's always an option when purchasing a ticket, but I never bought it. So what changed my views on finally caving into purchasing traveler's insurance?
