We love getting questions from our friends, family, and readers and wanted to write about the most common questions we get asked about these popular and famous tourist destinations we’ve visited.
We visited Banff at one of the busiest times of the year in September. Check out our list of Do’s & Don’ts to help you navigate Banff during the Labor Day Weekend.
Banff National Park has become increasingly popular and we can completely understand why. The park is easily accessible and the views are breathtaking. We packed a lot into our days and since most of the attractions we visited were popular hot spots, our itinerary consists of very early mornings to beat the crowds.
If you are planning a visit to Banff National Park, you will most likely be flying into Calgary International Airport. The drive from the airport to downtown Banff is about an hour and a half plus the time spent on renting or returning your rental car.
On our last day in Banff National Park, we made a last minute decision to visit the Cave and Basin. The Cave and Basin and the entire Banff National Park is a part of the UNESCO Rocky Mountain Parks World Heritage Site.
Crystal and I aren’t very fond of gondola rides since we are both terrified of heights, but we were determined to overcome our fears since we made dinner reservations at Sky Bistro.
If you’ve heard of Moraine Lake, then most likely, you have heard of Lake Louise. Both of these lakes have the same turquoise blue color from the glacial waters and it is absolutely gorgeous surrounded by the Canadian Rockies.
Crystal has been wanting to visit Banff National Park for years and we finally made the trip happen this year during the Labor Day weekend in September. Crystal was initially drawn to Moraine Lake for it’s bright, blue waters that looked unreal. Every picture she saw were spectacular and she knew she had to go here.
Banff National Park is famous for Moraine Lake and Lake Louise, but have you heard of Johnston Canyon? We were pretty excited to go on a little hike to see some of the waterfalls at this canyon.
Downtown Banff in Canada is fairly small but they have plenty of restaurants for locals and tourists. Here are our top 4 favorite restaurants of downtown Banff.
We visited Banff National Park during one of the transitional months in late August to early September, so it was a tricky time of year to pack for. Mountain weather is quite unpredictable so being prepared will make your experience at Banff a whole lot more comfortable.
One of our favorite things to do when traveling is trying new restaurants. Vancouver has some of the best tasting food and we pretty much enjoyed every restaurant we visited. We wanted to try out more restaurants but unfortunately, we ran out of time, so we will definitely be back for more! Here are our top 10 suggestions for restaurants and cafes you need to try in Vancouver.
We recently spent the weekend in Vancouver Canada and put together the perfect two-day itinerary of our favorite things to see and do here.
The Vancouver Police Museum was a fun stop for us located near Chinatown. The building used to be a functioning autopsy facility! We learned about the Vancouver police force, crime stories, confiscated weapons and more!
If you want to explore some nature in Vancouver that is easy to access, we highly recommend the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. We were pretty excited to explore this park and had our fingers crossed that it didn't rain the entire weekend we were in Vancouver.
We tried out a lot of restaurants while visiting Vancouver and one of our favorite places was Chambar, located just behind the Airbnb we were staying at in downtown Vancouver. We were in a mood for some good brunch and read rave reviews on how awesome this restaurant was, so we had to see for ourselves.
Most of our Airbnb stays have been pretty average in size, so the penthouse in Vancouver was our first experience with an amazing rooftop view and extra amenities. Since we were traveling with several friends on this trip, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to book something a little more luxurious since we would all be splitting the cost.
