On our last day in Banff National Park, we made a last minute decision to visit the Cave and Basin. The Cave and Basin and the entire Banff National Park is a part of the UNESCO Rocky Mountain Parks World Heritage Site.
Crystal and I aren’t very fond of gondola rides since we are both terrified of heights, but we were determined to overcome our fears since we made dinner reservations at Sky Bistro.
If you’ve heard of Moraine Lake, then most likely, you have heard of Lake Louise. Both of these lakes have the same turquoise blue color from the glacial waters and it is absolutely gorgeous surrounded by the Canadian Rockies.
Crystal has been wanting to visit Banff National Park for years and we finally made the trip happen this year during the Labor Day weekend in September. Crystal was initially drawn to Moraine Lake for it’s bright, blue waters that looked unreal. Every picture she saw were spectacular and she knew she had to go here.
Banff National Park is famous for Moraine Lake and Lake Louise, but have you heard of Johnston Canyon? We were pretty excited to go on a little hike to see some of the waterfalls at this canyon.

We tried out a lot of restaurants while visiting Vancouver and one of our favorite places was Chambar, located just behind the Airbnb we were staying at in downtown Vancouver. We were in a mood for some good brunch and read rave reviews on how awesome this restaurant was, so we had to see for ourselves.
