We didn’t know much about the Ringling Museum of Art before we visited, but we’re sure glad we stopped by when we were in Sarasota. We were blown away by this museum.
Romona is a city that I stumbled upon by accident. I was looking for an Airbnb in San Diego and the only thing available was in a town called Ramona. I was desperate to stay somewhere that wasn't a hotel and booked the Airbnb the night before my arrival.
Downtown Disney recently changed their name to Disney Springs with a whole bunch of renovations and we wanted to see all the fun new shops and restaurants they added.
Cask Social Kitchen opened in June 2015 and has quickly became one of our favorite restaurants in Tampa. Located in Hyde Park, it’s one of the restaurants in the area not to be missed.
We've done a good amount of traveling in the US and here's our top 10 favorite photos we've taken from across the country that inspires us to travel more.
I’m always in search of a good camera bag and have several bags for different occasions. I take my camera with me everywhere and when I go out to eat dinner or visit a museum, I use this camera bag by JoTotes most often. It’s not obvious that it’s a camera bag and it’s still small and stylish for an outing.
We've been searching for a local coffee shop in Tampa that has it all - good coffee (obviously), friendly service, plenty of seating and free wifi - and we finally found it: Ginger Beard Coffee!
There are still SO many places we need to visit around the world, but here's our top 10 favorite photos we've taken from around the world that inspires us to travel more.
Oxford Exchange has been around in Tampa for awhile, but we only recently visited for brunch. I don't know why it took us so long to visit this place because it is gorgeous!!
We have fallen in love with our new carry-on suitcase from AWAY. We were in need of a new suitcase and heard about this new, high-tech travel gear through social media and knew we had to get one for ourselves.
I was traveling to Chicago for a weekend and since I’ve been around downtown Chicago numerous times before, I wanted to explore something different. I started researching what was near Chicago and came upon Shipshewana, Indiana; a small Amish town only a couple of hours away and thought it was a perfect place to check out!
I recently made a trip to Amish country Indiana in Shipshewana, but beforehand, I stopped by Cook’s Bison Ranch, which was 30 minutes southeast of the city. I have never seen bison up close before, so thought this was a perfect opportunity to learn more about these animals going through the fields in a tractor wagon.
We are both coffee people and both have a Nespresso machine sitting in our kitchen, so we love the Nespresso Cafe! There are a handful of them across the U.S., but the largest one is in Beverly Hills, California.
We wanted to stop by the Villa Blanca Italian restaurant because Crystal is a huge fan of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and one of the stars on the show, Lisa Vanderpump, owns this restaurant. We actually stopped by one of her other restaurants, Sur, a couple of years ago and ran into Mrs. Vanderpump herself! Crystal was so happy and Lisa was kind enough to take a picture with her. We weren’t so lucky this time, but still had a fun time at the restaurant.
I haven’t been to the Tampa Museum of Art in awhile and since I had free admission by staying at the Le Meridien Tampa hotel, I made sure to take advantage of a visit. Tampa Museum of Art is a beautiful museum located in the heart of downtown Tampa. The award-winning building was built in 2010 by architect Stanley Saitowitz and has become an icon at Curtis Hixon Park.
This summer we decided to take a 4 day road trip through California. We didn't take the typical road trip along the Pacific Coast Highway. Instead, we started our trip heading east from Los Angeles, then we made our way up north to the desert and the forest.
We wanted to visit Manzanar National Historic Site because it really hits home for us. It's not a site in the United States that is very well known. We actually found out about it recently through a friend. We knew the history behind it, but didn't know that the camp site was preserved.
Visiting Sequoia National Park has been on our list for quite some time. We've always heard that these tall and giant sequoia trees are quite a sight to see, so we were excited to include this location in our little California road trip.
Lake Arrowhead is a beautiful area located in the mountains of the San Bernardino National Forest. You can go hiking, backpacking, bicycling, and fishing during the summer months or snow boarding and skiing during the winter months.
I’ve always loved Vegas hotels because they put such great detail into the theme hotels and they make everything bigger than life. The Paris hotel is one of those hotels and they immediately give you the feeling that you've walked into France the moment you enter the hotel.
We found out about Wolf Mountain Sanctuary when we started researching places to visit near Lake Arrowhead, California. We read so many great reviews that we had to make a stop and see these wolves for ourselves.
Lone Pine wasn’t originally on our California road trip itinerary, but since it was so close to Manzanar, we decided to make a quick visit after we toured the Manzanar Historic Site. We loved this little town! Everything is western themed because the location is famous for western movies being filmed often back in the day. Hollywood still uses Lone Pine and the Alabama Hills for it’s movie set every once in awhile like Tremors and Django.
I've been taking notice of Le Meridien and Bizou's beautiful Instagram feed and had to check this place out for myself. The Le Meriden Tampa hotel and it’s restaurant, Bizou, is located in downtown Tampa and the building used to be the city's formal federal courthouse. I passed by this building numerous times before and had no idea it was a hotel until I started researching the place! I was even more intrigued and wanted to stay here for the night to get the full experience of this unique hotel.
If you’re wondering where to eat in Vegas, I would recommend the Eiffel Tower Restaurant located at the Paris Hotel. You get stunning views of the Bellagio fountain show and top notch service by the friendly wait staff.
One of the iconic buildings you’ll see in Vegas is the replica of France’s Eiffel Tower at the Paris hotel on the Vegas strip. You get to go up the 460-foot tower and get incredible views of the Vegas strip. We were told that you have to do this at least once if you’re in Vegas, so since we were staying at the Paris hotel, we thought why not get the full experience!
I've become a brunch junkie lately and trying out all the hip restaurants around Tampa on the weekends. I usually like to check out places that have a cool vibe or something unique and O Cocina & Flights definitely fits that category.
Ybor City used to be a thriving cigar industry composed of Cuban and Spanish immigrants and was founded in 1885 by a group of cigar manufacturers led by Vicente Martinez-Ybor. The Cuban culture still remains in Ybor and it's also filled with vintage stores, restaurants, coffee shops, bars and breweries.
Cool restaurants and shops are pretty much common place to go when visiting any city, but what I like about LA are their juice bars.
